Calendar of employer training - Internship works
Internship Works is a national project aimed at doubling the number of Supported Internships available. It is designed to support more young people with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) to have greater control and choice over their future, opening up opportunities that prepare them for adult life and independent living.
The Internship Works project is also improving the information available for SEND young people and their families, employers, and professionals. North Tyneside Council established a SEND Employment Forum in June 2023 and through this Forum, a new Calendar of Employer Training is offered for employers to support and provide information about employing people with SEND.
